    Dell 1737 graphics card

    If I were to buy the 1737 with the basic on board 4500 video, can I easily add the ATI 3650 graphics card at a later date? I ask this because I probably don't need the ATI. I do not play games - just some home video editing in addition to spreadsheet work, etc.

    I don't if the 1737 is different, but most Dell notebooks have 2 motherboard variations:
    1. with integrated chipset ---> no slot!!!
    2. with dedicated ---> some can be upgrade, but some are soldered in

    The person on the Dell "chat line" said that I could easily add a graphics card at a later date, but I don't trust the answer.

    THats what they told me GARY, those s lied to me too. Do not trust them. The definite answer is NO, you cannot upgrade to a newer gpu.
