Hi. I was just wondering, since dell installs its custom geforce drivers for the e1705 w/ a 7800 go, how much difference in 3dmark 05 would I see if I used the newest nvidia whql driver from spark? ForceWare 83.40

    Thanks.

Also, does the xp media center edition product key work on xp pro? I want to format the laptop and put xp pro on it, to remove all the junk dell puts on it. Thanks!

I can ask the first question but not the second because I haven't tried the second. Anywho, I use the MobileForce Drivers at Tweaksrus.com. With my 6800, Dell drivers were about 160million pixels per second at pcpitstop.com. With MobileForce, it rose to 300million pixels per second.

Thanks, I saw your post previously regarding the pcpitstop test. Im just wondering if I will get a much needed leap if I install the latest whql official drivers. Dell ones suck, and I tend to stay clear of the modified ones...(bad previous experience)

well, you can just install the Mobileforce regular (just modified inf) in the same program. No tweaks. Really, I couldn't tell a difference in the tweaks and stock settings.
