I currently have a 8400M GS module in my 1520, I'm wondering what other cards would be compatable or could be made to be compatable with my laptop other than the available 8600M GS/GT.
I'm not afraid of a little adapting and case modding if thats whats needed :p

Has anyone else changed out the card in their Inspiron 1520 ?

I'm wondering if one of the 7900 GTX's fom the XPS would work, do they use the same interface connection ?

    Cheers

No, unfortunately it will not be possible to change the graphics card in the 1520.

Please read the GPU guide. You're out of luck, sorry.
