    Hello guys!!

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 and I´ve installed Soul Reaver 2 game from Eidos. I really like this game. When I´ve installed the game and I run it, is not possible to play!!. I mean you can hear the sounds but you can´t see anything in the LCD. You can see in the LCD like a shade, and in the background you can see the words and some graphics, but very difficult. Summarizing, in the LCD you can see like a green shade covering all the screen, you can hear the sounds and vaguely some words and drawings in the background!!. I have an ATI Radeon X300 with 128 MB and 1GB Ram.

Anybody can help me?? Any known issue of this game with ATI RADEON X300? Any ideas please!!

    Thks

quick question... are you running off of the battery or the power supply? But I wouldn't think that would make much of a difference.

    Hello guys!!

Sorry to not answer but I was out of town for a while.

I´ve dowloaded the patch, applied and nothing. Please let me explain. I have an illegal copy of Soul Reaver 2, so when I install this copy I got an error message telling me" Cannot locate the CD-ROM, Please insert the correct
CD-ROM, slect OK and restart the application", so in order to play the game I need to apply a crack, which is a file sr2.exe I have to copy in the same folder where the game is installed. When I do that, the game plays, but then I have the problem I´ve told you before, the screen is dark, completely cover with a green shade, no possible to see any image or video, but you can hear the sound. So is very probably will ve a video card issue. Another thing, this happens wheter running with AC or batteries!!

Then, when I applied the sr2pc102.exe patch, the patch substitute my cracked sr2.exe file with another patched sr2.exe file (bigger in size) and then I can´t play the game ´cause I start receiving the same error message "Cannot locate the CD-ROM, Please insert the correct CD-ROM, slect OK and restart the application", so I don´t know if the patch will work for me or not.

What I can do?. I´ve checked the configuration of my video controller and seemed to be ok, I´ve changed some settigs on purpose but nothing. Have to be something related with ATI Radeon X300, any ideas???

    Thanks

    Hello guys!!

I just found the answer to my problems, here:

Go to the Start Menu and select Run. Type in 'regedit' (no quotes) and hit OK. This will open the Registry Editor.

o Click the "+" next to My Computer to expand the menus. Click the "+" next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then click the "+" for Software, then the "+" for Crystal Dynamics, then the "+" for Soul Reaver 2, and finally click the
    "+" next to 1.00.000.
o In the window to the right under Name... RIGHT-CLICK on DisableVShader and select MODIFY.
o Change VALUE DATA: from 0 to 1, then click OK.
    o Exit the Registry Editor.

    Thats works great for me!!

Umm, I wouldn't go around gloating about illegal software on public forums, you could get caught.

Soooooooo my advice to you is to NOT do that unless you want prison time and a huge fine.

    Cheers,
    Mike
