Dell Latitude 820 w/ Nvidia Quadro NVS dilemma - Any way to find out if a given game will be compatible with this video card?

    Hi

I am looking at buying a few new games for my business class laptop. I know the well documented problems with using this workstation-style graphics card for modern gaming.

Dell Latitude 820 - Core 2 Duo 2.16 Ghz, Nvidia Quadro NVS 120M (512 MB), 2 GB RAM 667 MHZ, 100 GB 7200 RPM Ram

My problem is, I have no way of knowing if a game (Eg. Splinter Cell, Double Agent) will work on my laptop, as the tech specs on the back of the game box of course never mention this graphics card. I would hate to buy these games, only to find out they are unplayable or only work at the lowest resolutions.

Any suggestions?? Besides searching these forums, which I have already done :)

    Thanks

The nVidia Quadro NVS 120M is based on the Go 7300, so any games that did run, wouldn't work very well. Games that are older will work, but they only on medium to low settings. Newwer games will also work, but probably only on low settings and low resolutions.

    Thanks for the reply.

The confusing part is that some fairly recent games (Eg. GTA: San Andreas, Civ IV) run great at high graphic settings on my laptop, while other games of of a similar standard choke.

BTW: It is the Quadro NVS 110M which is based off the Go 7300, the Quadro NVS 120 is based off the Go 7400 (3D Marks 05 between 1900 - 2100). So it is still well below par with modern cards though.
