I just bought a Dell M90 with the nice Nvidia Quadro FX 2500. I needed it for CAD and other stuff but of course you want to play games in you free time. I am trying to play Call of Duty 2 and the multi player mode works fine (even on very high settings) but when I start up the Single player mode it gives me the error that it can only detect a refresh rate of 59 and wont start up. changing the resolution to the requested res. as given on the Call of duty website does not help

    Any suggestions???

If I have to waight for Dell to reply my support message, I will take a wile so, any suggestions

I've only heard of this happening on a few machines, where a game wouldn't run because the refresh rate was different - go into the Desktop Properties, Settings, Advanced Tab, then go over to the Monitor tab and make sure it is running at 60Hz.

I even tried to put in on 70Hz and still; the game error message tells me that it is expecting 60 and only getting 59.

That's interesting. If you have an external monitor, hook up your laptop to that to see if it will run properly on there. That way we can isolate whether it is the laptop or the monitor that is causing the problem.
