Wow, I'm really impressed by the 3670.. And it's not fake, he pushed the apply button! Look at this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVlI...om/user/rebocklive&feature=player_profilepage
I'm wondering about the resolution though. Can it really look that sharp without being native?
-
-
That's a nice little machine!
-
That's about right for a 1640.
I wouldn't expect crysis to run that well on the same settings, but warhead is known to run better than crysis -
I max the settings on crysis warhead and I get around 20fps at my native res (with a lil OC
)
-
Im not watching a 10 minute video, but I don't need to; suffice to say a mobility 3670 cannot max Crysis or Crysis warhead.
I mean c'mon people, use a bit of common sense, its a mid-level card. Sure, you can put some stupid low-res on there like 320x240 and maybe max it out at 10fps, but lets be realistic - when we talk about 'maxing' a game, we are talking about full settings, high-res, AA, and a highly fluid framerate. -
yeah i agree with V C....no way is a 3670 maxing crysis....the 3670 cant max normal less intensive games let alone crysis....i CANT even "max" crysis on by dual 3870 M17 laptop
-
1. He chose gamer instead of enthusiast... that's not max
2. No evidence of any AA
3. No mention of resolution
It runs it well, no doubt, but he doesn't even claim to have "maxed it out" -
V_C, If your too lazy to watch the video, then shut up, and stop contradicting yourself
.
Neinat, yes sorry. I thought gamer was maxing. Anyway, this is still pretty impressive, even if he uses a lower resolution (and not his 1920x1080, native resolution). -
Yes, V.C. shut up lol at least hes showing us that crysis runs nice on the 3670.
-
Why are people still so fascinated by running crysis all the time? It's a fun game, it requires a steep system, mainly due to bad coding, and unless you have a high end gaming laptop you won't be able to "max" it out.
-
-
Also, what age are you that you tell people to 'shut up' when they disagree with you? 12?
If you can't discuss things in an adult manner maybe you should find another forum before you get banned from this one. Same goes for you xxbadboys93. -
Peace! -
M17x can hardly "max" out crysis, this isn't even close lol
-
3670 maxing crysis? ..... fail thread!
-
-
i just love to read about all the "shut up" people write about. it starts with "no you, shut up", then "NO!!, you shut up". then the finally comes with "NO, YOU SHUT UP!!, don't make me get my shut up stick on you".
-
-
10char. -
Meh, I wouldn't call this a fail thread at all
. If the 3670 does Crysis on gamer settings, and WOW on all high with 1920x1080 and 40+ fps, it is pretty amazing. I thought it was far weaker. Maybe due to bad drivers?
PS. Your first post was a large bulb of poorly made points and contradictions. Fix that. -
The M17x is running Crysis @34 FPS on high @ 1200p
AKA 1900x1200 res
and in the 20's @ VERY HIGH
So it has to be very very low res IMO /FYI -
34 fps? That's above the W90 with 2x 4870's...
-
I dont even have to watch the video know this is not happening.
My desktop cant do that, maybe you should change the thread title to something more true, like "XPS 16 Crysis on Gamer settings at lowest resolution possible".
ps, I watched the video, and when he changes it to windowed mode you should see how small it is, its probably 640x480, and its not very smooth at all, id say running between 20 and 30 FPS. -
Well under 30 FPS, when the palm trees fall it looks like he dips under 20 FPS.
Low resolution too. -
do you think his card is overclocked?
when he hit caps lock and the game became windowed, could that be the resolution he was playing it at? -
That video, in between the cussing and self gloating, was pretty bad. Who boasts running Halo PC, a 6 year old game, while having background apps open? Heck, i can do the same exact thing with mine, switching between Halo PC and Battlefield 2 while having a VM running linux in the background and rendering stuff with blender. If you were serious about it you would have ran crysis with all of those background apps.
Why did warcraft have shadows turned off? If it ran it so well why didnt it have them on? (although it would still run well)
As far as crysis goes, just LOL.
That Dell Studio Is pretty nice for what it does, just dont be thinking or saying it does more than it can. Those fps dips were pretty obvious on video even though you said no lag. -
It looks like decent resolution to me, far greater then 640x480 (even suggesting such a low resolution is ridiculous. Try in the 1024x768 range).
-
depends on which resolution he configured, if the native is 1366x768 than that is easily 640x480, if its the 1080P res then its a bit higher of course.
just to note, it is a 4:3 aspect ratio when he changes to windowed mode, so it is between 640x480, 800x600, or 1024x768 depending on which screen. -
Besides, 20-25 fps on Crysis warhead, gamer 1024x768 is pretty good, quite a bit better then 9600M GT.
-
Stop critizing the kid, it's surprising it can even run it. It's not a gaming machine and only has the 3670, so with that I think it's decent
-
Hey bassflow, what makes you think I'm younger then you? Easy on the arrogance please.
-
Umm I didn't say that? This is what starts forum fights. Stop making assumptions. I was just explaining that it is not a gaming machine. Easy on the hostility.
EDIT: Oh I see. It's because I said kid. Wow, I'm trying to agree with you, and you get insulted by me saying kid...
If it'll make you any happier,
Stop criticizing the big man, it's not a gaming machine and it's surprising it can even run it with the 3670.
Happy now? -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
OR
For the same reason that people are more interested in 3dmark than in games. -
Most people just want a show-off hardware and they actually dont game. -
-
yea i Have gotten over crysis as a benchmark, just play the game.
-
Guys stop fighting what are 3 years old. Its a game so just play it.
