    Dell Vostro 1710 Direct3d problem

    Hi,

    My problems is: DxDiag -> Display -> Direct3d Acceleration: Not Available

    Display Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Troubleshoot Tab: Your current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware acceleration settings.

    Sounds like a driver problem to me. That or DirectX might not be detecting things correctly.

    Have you tried to install the latest DirectX? Even Vista does not come with all of the necessary DirectX 9 files.

    Have you also tried using Omega Drivers? His latest ones seem to be from December of 2007, but those might work a lot better than you may think.

    Try that and let me know if it works out. Unless of course you have already tried this.
