Well the dell wins in weight but the emperor has the larger screen.

Now for benchmarks while the Dell does have a dual core and will outperform in typical tasks when it comes to gaming all signs show that the eurocom with its SLI 7800GTX cards is best for gaming though only slightly.

So which would you go for? Personally I'm hoping they will upgrade this by the time I buy another machine (a year or so) with better SLI Graphics and dual core CPU but keep the 19in screen and I'll buy one :) Also I hear compared to the dell it isn't as well made and is louder/hotter. They need to work on this stuff.

This should have had a better CPU (dual core!) and the better ram that dell offers. Also how about taking and they could even ditch the SLI for one 512 7900GTX

I'd go for the M1710 by a long shot - first of all, it is actually portable, and the weight isn't bad at all. Second - it runs cooler because of the excellent cooling system.
The M1710 also has battery life (2+ hrs vs. 45 min for the M590K). The Go7900GTX should be more than enough power for anyone. And the Core Duo is much faster than the Turion in multitasking and games that use a dual-core processor effectively such as CoD 2, Quake 4, and hopefully many more to come.

If I was looking into getting the M590K, I would get a nice SLI desktop and a laptop on the side.
