Dell inspiron 1720 xbox 360 is it possable to use the laptop as a display screen for my 360 and if so what do i need to get this working
-

TV Tuner I believe.
-
TV Tuner and S-Video Input are the main choices you get...
unfortunately they will only give you up to 480i of resolution.... which is pretty sad for the Xbox360 or PS3.
You have to get a 720p and above input to a display to get the most out your next gen console... which is not very easy or cheap (video capture devices using component, DVI, and such) -
Were can i buy the connection, ebay?
-
which connection???
To get 720p and up?? -
480i are the 720 one , am just looking for the connection, i would also like to know is it posable to play films through my laptop on my tv

The easiest way is to get a:
- Gamebridge AVC-1400
We reviewed it here:

it works fine and costs under $40. -
You're going to want a gamebridge and not just a normal TV tuner as TV tuners typically have a bit of lag.
-
Yeah, you'll need a gamebridge. Trying to use a TV Tuner will introduce a 1/2 second lag in response time. This makes most games completely unplayable.
