    How is the dell xp 1530 for those games? And future ones, because if they get average to better fps with settings high this might be my next purchase for gaming/college.

    If it doesn't run well with those games, what would be another laptop for that option from 1-2k.

    Source and TF2 will run beautifully (pretty much your FPS will be higher than your refresh rate, unless you amp up the AA & AF settings), especially if you get the DDR3 version of the 8600 GT. I tried Bioshock for like 15 minutes and got bored and got rid of it, but it seamed to play quite nicely.

    check videos of the macbook pro on youtube to see how it runs the games. both have the same gpu

    Yep the Dell XPS m1530 will play those games very well.
