I'm bored at work and looking for game demos that can be played without having to install as an "administrator". This is a powerful machines with quad core and FX something graphics card.

You can try installing a game on a flash drive and then copying everything from it to the computer at work and then running the game (or run a game straight from the USB drive).

You may want to try Paradise Paintball 3D. It runs in a browser. It's not "powerful", but uh, you get to shoot people that look like junk-food-eating-aliens...and it's free. -
This will espcially work with older games...but then again, there goes the "powerful" aspect, most likely.
One other possiblity would be the Linux Live Games CD (probably not too "powerful"). You burn the .iso to a DVD, boot with the DVD, and you have several full-size games at your fingertips:
