I have my Thinkpad T61p hooked up to my LG 32" LCD TV via VGA cable and it works fine, except for the alignment. For some reason, (at 1360x768) the desktop does not cover the entire lcd screen, instead it is shifted over to the left an inch or two and upwards about half an inch. When I attempt to manual move the desktop over to where it should be it won't move over...all it does is move the desktop within itself.

When I change resolutions to say 800x600 it moves the desktop over but still cuts off a little. The only reason I don't just live with the 800x600 is it seems to distort the aspect ratio of movies and also puts the movies in letterbox.

I'm using a Nvidia Quadro FX570M with the latest drivers. Can anyone think of a solution to this?

    Thanks!

nevermind just figured out the problem.

I had to go into the menu of the tv itself and set the resolution to match that of the desktop...works fine now.
