    Hello,
The model is ASUS A42J, Windows 7, Intel HD Graphics with Nvidia GT 335M.
Just made a serious but hilarious mistake.

Problem is, in order to play Sonic Generations, I tried what this thread said :
(author = Helpfully, on page 1)
    Sonic Generations NVIDIA Optimus Issue

So, I extended my display (no.2) as GT 335M as instructed, done everything it suggested, and the game still didn't run properly. At this point, the no.1 display is Intel HD and no.2 is GT 335M.

Then I select display no.2 (GT 335M), and set it as default display !
All of a sudden, I can't control my own screen with the keyboard, and the desktop icons were all gone.

Worse, I reboot my laptop, and after the starting Windows icon, wait forever for the user login menu to show up but in vain. At this point, neither mouse nor keyboard could possibly have anything to do with my laptop screen.

Can anyone please help me on this ? Thanks a bunch in advance.

Figured it out myself just minutes ago. Solution here :
    (1) Get into safe mode
    (2) Control panel --> Device manager
    (3) Disable GT 335M
    (4) Reboot
    (5) Done !
