As long as they make the bullets have more impact, I'll be a fan.

I was tired at the fact that at the end of DEX2, it took at least 2 clips of ammo to kill anyone. It just made the guns feel empty, no oomph. I might as well have been throwing peas at the enemies. Deadly, poisonous peas.

Deus Ex 2 was (fill_in_the_blank_with_a_VERY_bad_word) game compared to Deus Ex 1... total let-down !! I only hope Deus Ex 3 lives upto the first game's standards! :D

    I have a secret...

I never played the first one!

But I did like the 2nd one ;-D So considering the first is considered WAY better by everyone... I assume the first must be one of the best FPS games ever.

Needless to say, I'm excited to see another possible FPS game that might be worth a damn.

One of the best FPS's ever made, yes definately. One of the best RPGFPS's? No, it IS the best RPGFPS.

The game was increadable. It was also very long, and could be played any way you want really. You could do everything in it. There was never a part of the game where you couldn't do something because it simply wouldn't let you, such as attempting to kill your commander, which would get you killed because they have infinite health, but still, you could try ;)

When Deus EX 2 came out, I had a PC with a radeon 9550, and a laptop with a radeon 9100IGP, so the game ran probebly 2fps minimum settings, and I never got a chance to play it. Actually, even if it did suck, I think I'm going to buy it on steam right now, just because I never had the chance to play it..

Deus EX 3 though, well the origional team who wrote the story for the first one is back doing the third, which are not the people who made the 2nd one, so I have high hopes for deus ex 3.

I tried DE2. I agree with the post about the ammo having little effect. It always seemed like I had to unload everything into the bad guys. I got bored and frustrated and never finished DE2. I guess I should have played DE1. Maybe DE3 will be better and I'll see what all the fuss is about.

I'd be kind of cool if you could transfer your save from one game to the next, which would affect the storyline based on your actions in the previous game.

Query: Do both DE and DE2 work in Vista-64 if you download them from Steam?
I ask because Steam's distribution (none valve software) is somewhat flaky.

I read somewhere that DX2 has problems with Vista, but I haven't had a chance to confirm that myself; I really don't have the motivation to play DX2.
