First off, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a Steamworks title so it doesn't matter where you purchase from.

Greenmangaming currently is running the pre-order at 26% off, and they also have a Facebook 20% off promotion coupon that stacks until 7/18/2011

    Coupon Code: FACEB-JULY2-20PEC

Hmmm very enticing. It's just hard to get excited for this game considering the pedigree of it's predecessors. None of the videos I've watched have made it look that great.

Whoops, quick change of heart. Looked over their forums, watched some of their videos. They seem really passionate about it.

Wow good deal. Never heard of them though. Apparently they use SecuROM with all their games though. But if you have a key can you just activate it on Steam then with no SecuROM crap? Plus we'd have to wait for UK release date too right?

Since it is a Steamworks, it is required to download from Steam. The only DRM that will be present will be whichever that Square and Steam decide to implement.

As far as release date; their site when viewed by me says release of 8/23. UK release is 3 days later. I'm not sure exactly which date I'll get it, but I can wait 3 days for $20 off. I did read on a few forums that Greenman gaming did send you the key early if Steam offered a pre-load of the game. I guess I'll find out.

Thanks, I'll go ahead and pre-order too then! :D

edit: just pre-ordered, says available for download 8/23. So assuming it just does it by location. Cool, thanks +1!

Seems like a great deal for a pre-release game, but so far the footage, trailers and dev interviews haven't really appealed to me. It seems like a very linear game so far, with a crapload of cut scenes.

I think I'll wait to read some reviews after the game is released.

If I don't see anything to change my mind, I will probably wait to pick it up during a Steam sale for $10 or less at some point.

That is a nice price. I've never used GMG before though. Am I right in thinking that if I buy from these guys I can download through Steam in the same way as if I had bought from Steam or do I download from GMG and then just add to my games list?

Deus Ex HR is a Steamworks game. They will provide you a key and can activate it on Steam. I don't even think you can download from GMG or anywhere else.
