I wanted to purchase Deux Ex on Steam, but I read on their forums that some users had some speed compatibility issues since it's an older game. I run Vista 64, core 2 duo 2 ghz, 9700m gts and was wondering if anyone here owns the game with pretty similar specs as mine. How would it run? Can I even run it on my Toshiba X305 without having to try any type of quick fix or tweaking?

I have the Steam version, and I haven't had an issue with abnormal speed.

The only problem I have is figuring out how to get it to look half decent on my screen.

some people had problems with it. Basicly it runs super fast, like over 200% of normal game speed. unfortunately I don't know the fix.

I had speed problems using Vista 32 with STEAM version. Everything was in slow mo due to CPU speed reporting.

I found this and problem fixed. Search web for a file called "CustomDeusEx-0.1-bin" I attached it for you.

    View attachment CustomDeusEx-0.1-bin.zip

This game ran with NO crashing and just a great old time favorite :)
