Hey guys,
Does anybody know what happened to the Game? it was supposed to come on the 2nd on this month.. moreover, a demo was announced to come before the game is released with a built-in benchmark, so i heard the game will be released at the 8th, so anybody has information about the demo's Date?
Thanks in Forward
-
It got pushed back to July 8. The demo should be out in the coming weeks.

HOLY! July? what the hell... is this is some kind of a joke? 0_o ive already bought a gamepad for this game, and was waiting for june to come since January! the game better be an awesome port or i'll be greatly disappointed
-
Here's a link to the past thread DMC4: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=254643
Also, where's that darn demo Capcom? I'm keeping my figures crossed that my 8510p will be able to handle the game. This port is supposed to be good. I think I might pick up the xbox 360 controller for PC to play this game if my system can run it. -
i guess you can run it decently since its a PC Engine originally
-
I played the demo on my 360 and it didn't impress me much.
-
probably you arent a fan of the franchise
-
-
I played the game on ps3, the first half of the game playing as Nero is very fun, but I didn't care for doing everything again as Dante. The last 4 missions are really fun though.
-
The demo is coming out in less than 24 hours. Can't wait.

omg Magma! you f*uckin mad my DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! +REP you rock man
-
I am SO glad I checked this thread. You've also made my day magma
Do any of you have the xbox 360 controller or know if it can work with this game? I'm looking into getting a controller for DMC4.
-
the X360 controller will work like a charm
-
Can't wait!!! It's coming out in less than 10 minutes...
btw here's some info about the demo.

I just noticed on those screen-shots that the buttons match an xbox 360 controller. So, the xbox 360 controller should work fine for it. Countdown 3 minutes.
Edit: So far only gamespot has the demo up and I will not become a member of that site. -
well it has maintainance , i cant download!
-
That sucks. It looks like other sites will be getting the demo on Friday.
-
omg HELL NO! i cant wait till then!
-
yay! download at 9kbs, estimated time to download is 24 hours
EDIT: now its 94 hours -
is it Games for windows?... i hate rebinding games to my 360 controler if they are not..
Rebinding MGS2 and MGS1 was NOT fun lol and dont get me started on RE4 -
bloody hell! 70+ FPS? now THATS SOME GOOD CODING! cheer up man!, anyways, is the legendary mode there? i heared it stresses the CPU big time
-
Sweet. Right clicking and saving worked on that link. I'm keeping my figures crossed that my HD 2600 can handle this game. I know it doesn't come close to comparing to all you guys with your 8800 GTX and 7950 SLIs
Edit: Wow, I'm on a fiber optic connection and my speed is fluctuating between 0 and 10 kbps.
Edit2: Dropped me. I'll try again some other time. -
try through the manager, i'm getting 100kbs off my 1mbit
-

Actually I found some links to only the demo and not the demo + benchmark. This download is going around my normal speed of 550-600 kbps. Again, this is demo only, hence the smaller size. I figure I'll benchmark the game by, you know, playing it. Thank you nvidia Japan.

The download speed is pretty dang good. I'm hitting 630 kbps from time to time as opposed to 0-10 from gamespot.
Edit: I bet you get LDK mode by beating the game.
Here's a link to the Nvidia Japan page where you can get the demo AND benchmark:
http://jp.slizone.com/object/devilmaycry_jp.html
Can any of you confirm that it works with the xbox 360 controller? I know I'm being paranoid, but I don't want to waste $40 on a controller.
Okay it's pretty obvious that it does once I started the demo and saw the big picture of the controller. -
x360 IS SUPPOSED to work like a charm, anyways, in that link you've posted, is the game actually in japanese?
-
Well hell its performance is way better than many games out there
-
Update : OMG the game runs at max settings 1440x900 4xMSAA with 80+ FPS ALL the time! talk about awesome Engines! Thank you Capcom! the game is extreme!
-
The only weird thing is that I'm not getting vibration from my controller (which does vibrate in other games)...
I'm pretty sure the vibration option is set to ON but still it's not shaking... >_<
-
It sucks that its only a 10 min demo.
-
just play the part when you fight Berial
now i'm doing it for the 8th time
-
What is you guys' FPS? I got around ~40 ish but I noticed that Nero moved quite slow and sometimes suddenly there was some kind of megaman's dash and he ran faster.
-
i have this game for xbox360, beat it awhile ago, but it was damn fun. maybe once i get my new (t61p) laptop, i'll try it out on the pc
seems like it would be a cool game on a computer.

Okay thanks, I try the benchmark again at 1280 X 800, no AA, super high for texture res and overal quality, shadow off (The shadows are horrible IMO), I got C. The lowest fps I got is around 22 or 23 at the 2nd test. My spec: T7200, 2GB of RAM, Go 7900GS@stock.
p/s: Did you see the 3rd scene when Dante fought the boss? DAMN, his guns are awesome, there were like 4 or 5 kinds of gun and they were carried all at the same time. -
It gives you the option to play in English or Japanese. The game plays fine with an HD 2600 on stock clocks. I'm running at 1280x720, no AA, and settings on high. How has the controller been working out so far? Good except for the lack of rumble? -
yup except for rumble, anyways i downloaded it through gamespot's download manager, now i went through the demo for more than 15 times
damn i love this game!
-
-
I can't wait for the game to be released, arghhhhhhh. CAPCOM why you had to push it back to July. Hopefully, my friend will buy a Xbox 360 controller for my bday at that time. I'm currently using some cheap controller (Colorvis, anyone knows it) and really not comfortable with it (No rumble at all)
BTW, here's my benchy result.
-
so is there a diff in dx9 and x10? looks and performance wise?
edit: wow it doesnt use sli...hm -
Although this is more of a duh statement, DMC4 plays horribly with the keyboard. I'm going to have to get a controller.
-
wait...the game uses dx10 textures????
-
yea but no sli, wth?
-
MICHAELSD01 Apple/Alienware Master
Wow, sweet, the demo is out! I've been waiting to play DMC4 on PC since it was announced! I'm going to hook up my 360 controller and play it! BTW, DMC3 was one of the best games I've ever played.
-
Ah...I remember all the countless hours I sunk into DMC3 and DMC3 SE.
-
Has anyone gotten the game to worker under dx10? Colors/graphics seems to be messed up under dx10.
Also, 8600 GT desktop 512 mb is the recommended spec for DMC4, and with my ddr2 card pushed to 600/505, I can get min of 30+ in all performance tests. Therefore, everyone who has DDR3 edition that is interested in this game can definitely enjoy it. -
yea it works fully maxed at 1920x1200 on my desktop with frames way over 60. On my laptop 1280x800 on high with good frames. Great port
Devil May Cry 4.
