DiRT Rally is finally here. It's the simmers version of DiRT 3 really, or DiRT 4 however you want to look at it. It's not arcade, it's very much more simulation but can still be played with game controller, although full wheel and pedals would be best.

Right now, at least with my 970m with Optimus laptop, it will run in Windowed mode only, albeit at Ultra details it runs very smooth.

It's early access right now, and costs $31.49 currently, although the price will go up as it gets closer to release, but early access buyers will get the full game upon release and there are guaranteed no micro-transactions.

Picked up a copy as well. Glad to see they seem to be listening to fans!

Runs great, but I too can only get windowed (maximized at least) to work.

Cars "feel" right, with a real sense of speed on those tight tracks.

My only gripe, and I know it's early access so not complaining, but they really need to get the co driver working to advise on upcoming turns! As is we are driving blind.

Also really looking forward to hill climb mode... I love some Pike's Peak.

Look forward to seeing where this goes.

Yeah, odd that there are no co-driver announcements. But I believe in one of the videos I watched, the announcements were on, but maybe they had an earlier or other build.

I tried and kept crashing. Really, really tough. I might have to dust off my wheel and pedals for this one.

Really liking their attitude on this game so far, just released a patch fixing the co-driver audio, and apparently are aware of and working on the full screen glitch on mobile Nvidia cards. Here's the change log on Steam:

    "Hi all,

Wow! what an awesome first few days it has been. Again I'd just like to say thank you to to you all on behalf of the team. We love that you are enjoying the game and we've been busy reading your feedback, watching your videos and checking out your livestreams (when not working on the game obviously).

We're pleased that you all feel our launch went really smoothly but we did hit a few bumps... not as many on the side of the road in Greece though!

Here's what we've fixed in the patch that just went live

    • Audio Fix - We had a word with the co-driver about his attitude and he should now be talking to you if he wasn't before.
    • Audio Fix - Resolved several instances of your co-driver speaking French for non French players (he's been taking lessons and wanted to practice).
    • Online Fix - Fixed the Daily Online events so you will now be correctly rewarded for completing the event.
    • Championship Fix - Resolved instances of incorrect weather combinations being generated during later championship events... We blame global warming.

    Known issues we're working on
    • Error 41 - We're looking into this one, and will update as soon as I have more info. As it is something we need to discuss with Valve.
    • dirtgame.comnot loading - this seems to be an issue with Firefox users, we're looking into it but for now any other browser should work.
    • FFB - The team are looking at your feedback on this now and we'll have some settings for you to try out later today.

If you are having any of the problems below can you please take a read of this postand send your dxdiags to dirtgame(at)codemasters(dot)com. We're still trying to get to the bottom of them and the more info we can collect about your system the quicker we can get to fix.
    • Game Hangs
    • Input lag on some setups
    • Benchmark test doesn't run correctly
    • Can't full screen on mobile Nvidia cards

You're all awesome, to keep up to date with the latest news follow us on Twitter, Facebookand keep an eye on dirtgame.com."

Awesome, will check it out when I rebuild my P770ZM.

Yes. Also they are split into 4 stages, it takes me minimum 30 minutes to complete one race.

It's made for hardcore wheel and pedal users. I use the PS4 controller and can tell you control is wonky and unreliable. I've read on forums wheel is actually easier to drive with than controller.
