Has anyone played this game yet? I just got it and i'm having trouble already. It seems close to impossible to steer the car correctly. One tap of the left or right arrow key sends the car swerving 30 degrees in that direction. I looked under Settings for an option to change steering sensitivity but found nothing. Perhaps this game is solely designed for use with a steering wheel or controller?

Also, this game is 10.5 GIGS! ?!?!

This game had horrible controls even with a gamepad for me, it was like being on ice.

Plus it had some major glitch playing at 1920x1080 caused the game to take 10x longer to load things and was a huge performance kill, when I lowered down to 12x7 ish it loaded instantly and ran smooth.

Meh this is ticking me off because it's supposedly a kickass game but how am i supposed to play it if my car slides around like jello? According to this GameSpot review, it's amazing in both graphics and gameplay, so it makes me wonder how they managed to play it...

I bought just bought this game for my Xbox 360 and it's just damn cool! The graphics are amazing! The cars looks so real and they fold like an aluminum can when they crash. Outrageous physics! I have a 360 racing controller BTW. :p The gamepad controls aren't so bad though.

As for the guys who unfortunately don't have an Xbox 360 or PS3 (it's coming out on the PS3 later this year), you'll have to either suffer bad framerates and/or crappy graphics with a video card lower than a 8800GTS, or enjoy graphics near or at par with its console counterpart using a 8800GTX.

Thats not true at all symphony. I ran that game maxed out and smooth as butter on my 7800GTX. Also, i wouldn't use the word "unfortunately" because personally, i don't think theres anything "unfortunate" about not owning an xbox360 or PS3.

OP - I had the same problem, but then purchased a relatively cheap ~$50 steering wheel from BB, and it made the game so much more fun.

    @ MrGlobe

Smooth as butter -- BUT, the physics and graphics don't match that of the Xbox 360 and PS3. I'd reckon you're not even running the game on high settings at high resolutions, say 1680x1050, hence smooth FPS. Stop lying. Maxed out settings? Take a look at my friend's rig running it. I've already seen my Xbox 360 running against my friend's PC with a 8800GTS 640 Mb. He was running it hooked to a 22" LCD @ 1680x1050 while I was running the Xbox 360 one on a 32" @ 720p resolution. Despite the difference in resolution, the Xbox 360 one still looked better and more buttery-smooth and it doesn't stutter when cars crash, and oh, the graphic settings were all set to their highest in the PC version, including maxed out AA and HDR. Face it. The damn game is optimized for the consoles.
