Sorry, creating another thread, can't find one that isn't locked.
Who is still playing? They added some interesting new features in Patch 2.3.0
Though the updates are for Greater Rifting, make it easier. And to entice players back to the game to grind more and waste time![]()
Lag and performance issues still haven't been fixed FYI. 980M still can't keep up 60 FPS in this 2012 game.

I still play from time to time. My 970m doesn't have any performance issues, I get well over 60 FPS.

I'm looking for a group to do GRifts. Public games are bunch of snobs that require a certain build etc, playing the moronic meta game instead of just having fun. -

Either way Blizzcon announced that 2.4 is coming right away. So loads of new content and fixed and buffs and nerfs.. -
I still play a bit, though I'm currently without a laptop, but my beast is arriving today!

Cool. I'm in a great clan for non-season players.

Heh honestly - I rather play this game on my PS4 > PC. It's enjoyable to sit on the couch, get hammered with the wife, and play D3. But to answer your question - I still play it

Has Blizzard finally admitted their mistake, and allow PC gamers to play Diablo III offline like the other four platforms it's on?
-
Not possible. The calculations are done server side. The GRifts are all ladder system, the game is an online game...
And on PC, it's easy to alter files and find ways to cheat. -
The console versions are the same game and they aren't structured that way. Yet they work. So they means Blizzard is either 1.) Capable of doing the same with the PC version and they refuse for whatever reason or 2.) They can't do the same with the PC version do to incompetence and lack of foresight. I'd like to think it's the former and they'll change their stance on the issue soon.Last edited: Nov 14, 2015

They've been pretty stubborn about it from the get-go and I don't think they're going to change their minds any time soon. -
More likely for piracy file tampering and cheating.
-
Perhaps by the time Diablo IV is released? haha
A fair point, but shouldn't players be able to do as they please offline, only following Blizzard's guidelines while in competition online? A perfected version of Diablo II's system.i_pk_pjers_i likes this. -
I was playing the latest season but kept dying due to egpu crashing. After losing my monk twice in hardcore with full gear...I gave up. Moved onto sc2 campaign for now...but I will be back.

Don't do hardcore, hardcore is dumb. The servers are too unstable and too much lag, server instability will kill your character. Join me on non-season and I'll level and help gear your character. Clan I'm in are very active and great. They may accept you once you get some levels and show you are active.i_pk_pjers_i likes this.

Not playing hardcore is faceroll.
Playing seasonal hardcore is the only way to roll man, it makes you focus on a no-mistake game..

It's faceroll to play hardcore. It's not mistakes that kill you, it's lag, it's server instability. A waste of time.

I've actually only died in hardcore from my own mistakes and unlucky RNG, never lag once.jaug1337 likes this. -
Then you haven't tried pushing higher grifts mate.
Also lag is a part of the game, literally everyone you play with, next to, against and live with is trying to kill you.
I've lost several characters due my gf, internet crash, my brother downloading, my battery running out, my little brother pulling the plug on the wifi and me trying to gather enough mobs for EP's lol
it's part of the fun

Maybe for those with a lot of time on their hands. When you can, at most, play maybe one hour per day, it's no longer fun.

Oh in that case, yeah, I would definitely recommend normal over hardcore. -
That's why you play non-hardcore. As jaug1337 said, the lag at higher rifts is terrible. I'm a Helltooth WD, at 60+ GRifts, the lag can be terrible if you have a WW Barb. Or... TWO Helltooth WD, ugh. If you have THREE Helltooth WD, then you see a slide show.
Plus I've had a few crashes, disconnects etc, all would have killed a hardcore player.
I've got a good clan, up to 45 players online at a time and EVERYONE has had a hardcore character killed by server instability and all of us agree it's stupid to play hardcore.
