    Did I break my 780m by overclocking ( 70c highest temp )?

So having bought AC black flag recently I decided to finally overclock my 780m, by simply using MSI afterburner and nothing else.

I was looking to see how high I could go, and the game still ran fine at a 120+ core clock, but when I upped it to 135 ( the maximum I could ) the game suddenly shut down.

Now after this, whenever I open up black flag ( and other games ) it runs in 324MHZ, and refuses to go any higher. I've set it to different profiles and even reset it, but no luck.

Did I break it somehow? the temperatures were fine and I didn't change voltages, though I did play around a bit with memory clocks.

Also, my energy settings are set to optimal both in the windows and Nvidia power settings. The card ran just fine for the past few months.

Alright, thanks for the reply. I've got to work right now but I'll try it out instantly when I come back.

Sounds like a simply case of the driver crashing due to an unstable overclock. I have had this many a time when testing to find maximum clocks on cards (both desktop and laptop - this brings back memories of tweaking the hell out of my old M11x R1). Usually a simple system restart sorts everything out. If this doesn't work then a driver reinstall as suggested by klaux619 will work.

A system restart didn't solve anything, but re-installing the drivers did. Thanks alot !!
