    Did Inspiron 1520 right for my needs ?

    Hi i am new here,

    I wan to buy a Dell Inspiron 1520 here in canada...

    Spec:

    -Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 1.66Ghz, 2M cache, 667Mhz bus speed.
    -2Gb ram @667Mhz
    -Go 8600M GT with 256Mb
    -Sata-HD 120 Gb @ 5400 rpm
    -15.4 screen 1 280 x 800
    -Vista Home Premium 32-bits

    for arround 1200.00$can

    I can't go higher for my budget, but did these setup is good for Civilization IV ?

    Or can i switch the 8600GT for a 8400GS @ 1200x800 in civilization IV and did the CPU i will run the game fine with a C2D 1.66?

    Did New expension Beyon the sword have the same requirement as the orginal Civ4 ?

    i'd keep the 8600, since it's superior to 8400 in every way. as far as cpu goes, i don't know. 1.66 is plenty for most games right now.

    You can upgrade the specs and use one of the coupons found on this website, that'll save you lots of money.
