Did the dual core fix on the desktop in my sig... Now Oblivion doesn't crash... As much.

It crashed once. Before it was crashing every 5 seconds.

    I can play it now!

For some reason though, I'm now getting horrid framerates... Of course, it doesn't matter that I've added tons of trees, grass, every mod known to man, etc...

    Here are a couple pics:

It seems as he's runnong an x1900XTX, which should be able to handle oblivion just fine. Have you tried following one of those optimization guides?

my notebook (look in my sig) runs Oblivion perfect at Ultra High & 1920x1200 res with 7800 GTX. The Multi Core hotfix gains about 5-10 fps.

It did crash randomly on me before, but I decided to wipe and reinstall everything, now it never crashes. I would have DeFragged (using 3rd party software), but I wanted to get a fresh start.

You don't have all the mods added though do you?

These mods are a killer... 4096x4096 instead of 512x512 textures all across the land...

Each mod takes off like 40 fps...

Then I added 150 trees to the landscape, added more clumps of grass, and more amounts of grass...

To make Oblivion really look amazing you might want to check this site out.
Notice the non-tiling, seamless high resolution LOD textures and the parallax mapping on architehture. Absolutely grazy!

Did you not notice my textures were already that high res? :p

Is there anyway to add the parallax and the objects without adding the textures?

BTW, when I say bad fps, I mean below 60 :p. I'm getting 30-40 fps......

Yep, and make sure to take all the textures in section "Parallax Installation/Activation Order for 512Mb Video Cards" in right order. Also you propably can handle the "Almost Everything Visible When Distant"-mod in the Other Improvements page. It allows you to see most structures in the game from very far away (omg!). When done, you could post some new shots from your highly improved Oblivion.. for thanks. :)

lol, I'm adding a ton more mods... I won't push my luck until I know how they run, then I'll either overclock my video card/cpu some more, or get a 8800gtx :-X

Well, I see you have x1900xt, so you shouldn't have any trouble. Mods in that page are carefully selected so they are fine if installed correctly. Also make sure you have optimized your system for Oblivion.
