I had totally forgotten about that game. It was awesome!

It took me months to defeat every level. I really hated "Hold the Fries".

i dont know what Battle Bugs is man. i think its before my time.
-
Awesome game! Never finished it though...
But I had endless fun playing it multiplayer against my friends. Such a shame no other game ever copied their hotseat mode. Such a brilliant way to allow multiplayer strategy games on a single computer. -
I believe Heroes of Might and Magic, and the Civ games had hotseat modes. I've never played Battle Bugs, is it's hotseat mode something special?
-
Unfortunately I never even owned a computer in 1994 therefore I haven't played it.
-
Sorry, should have said *realtime* strategy with hotseat. Yeah, it was special.
(Basically, the game ran realtime, and each player had a separate pause button. When you pause the game (with *your* pause button), you can give orders to your units only)
Of course, that only works in relatively slow-paced games with not too many units to worry about. But it worked brilliantly there. -
omg played this so long ago(I think...), loved it...where can I get it!!!
-
Aww, they have the info for it up on abandonia [ http://www.abandonia.com/games/43/download/BattleBugs.htm ]
But it's still protected; ie, you can't download it from there.
I'm sure with a bit of googling you could find a place to download it though. But you would also need an old comp with DOS or use dosbox or something to get it working (and the sound doesn't work under dosbox I think),
Did you like the game Battle Bugs?
