    Difference in ATI or SLI certified PSU?

    What is the difference, can I use crossfire with an SLI certified PSU? :confused:

    You might be able to, but i would want to get a Crossfire certified one. Thats why they make ones for both. ;)

    But if you could find the actual voltages/amps/watts needed, and they match up, it MAY work. But wait for more replies.

    thanks. I was just wondering because there are almost no reviews for the ati certified psus... If anyone could recommend a psu to me that would be great. I am planning to overclock two 3870s.

    yes you can. it's just a marketing gimick. just get a quality psu with 600-700w+ and you will be fine.

    Total marketing gimmick as tianxia said, use sli and crossfire certifications interchangeably.

    my corsair is "sli certified" but it would run crossfire just fine as it's 750 watts and has 5 pci-e connectors (4 or 5)
