Yeah it should, My title is not Confusing.lol. I would Buy Bioshock if my computer could handle it. You buying anything? (trying to get back on topic )

 

Well, I already have bioshock. I was look for Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena so I will get it. I am still considering if Saint Rows 2 is worthy, any opinions?

 

I'm definitely going to buy Saints Row 2. I loved the first game... it's not better than GTA but it's still worth buying.

Correction, there is no guarantee that they will have GTA IV for $5 next week, it is however, on the list of possible games to be chosen for the $5 special.

Bought Bioshock and Tomb Raider Legend for $10! I have been waiting to try bioshock but never did. Its hard to skip over it at $5 though. Makes me feel better too since I want to buy N4S Shift and RE5 but am broke this week. Oh well I think I got a lot of game for $10.

 

What is up with the crappy reviews on EVERY Direct 2 Drive game?

They seem to say that these games have driver problems/you cant update the driver, or are the reviewers just slow? Lol

 

Is Bioshock anything like Fallout 3? Is there any game it could be compared to?

 

Lol, i guess in some ways they are similar.

Unique Guns/weapons. Both also have a VERY intriguing story. Both games also have ways to update/upgrade weapons. Bioshock is more Linear then Fallout 3 but then again there is nothing you can do about that. Both these games probably have the best ambiance of any game out there.

 

I saw some gameplay videos of Bioshock and it reminded me of Fallout 3 and I didn't like Fallout 3. But I still might give it a try.

 

No, it is unique. The atmosphere is actually more better in Bioshock. You really feel you are in this demented world.

from a psychological standpoint, although "anniversary" is an appropriate title, "$5 Games" wins every time in terms of grabbing the average gamer's attention.

 

Thief: Deadly Shadows is a good game. Keep in mind that this is not your action game, it is more of a stealth game.

 

Well I did make this thread before you made yours so I guess I had more time, but when I made this one someone had already made a thread about this(now 3 threads about this) and asked a mod to close this but they didn't so since its active lets keep it.

On second thought Red Dragon Im gonna give Fallout 3 another try and Im gonna buy Bioshock.

 

I want to get Thief, but it looks like just another Splinter Cell set in feudal-times... are there any unique gameplay elements outside of the usual stealth-action genre?

 

i don't think Thief Deadly Shadow supports widescreen though

 

No, it is not your feudal-based splinter cell. The key difference is that here you are a thief, not a super soldier-spy capable of taking many people at a time. I know that for SC you need the stealth, but here stealth is the only way. In any case, for $5 I think it is a good game.

 

OK, so it's £5 here (note GBP). Although its a great deal I still feel a little ripped of when you guys over in the US get it for around £3

I can't even log onto the US site and get it cheaper, bah!

Is Deadly Thief open world game??? how long is the game?? I like open world game like stalker but i also like stealth games and this game has everything i like about stealth games. hiding in shadows, etc. But I would like to play it for quite a time if i buy this.

 

Sid Meier's Pirates rocks! Although a little repetitive it's probably going to be one of my favourite games

 

No, it is not an open world game, but also not totally linear. The game can take more than 20 hours to finish, depending on how fast you do everything.

i never played bioshock, but bought it yesterday for 5 bucks and it is definitely worth it.

Yes you would. Get some friend in the states, canada or mexico and ask him to buy it (in your account...).

 

I've added GTA: III, Saints Row 2 and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl to my cart. I have never played GTA 3 before so I will try it out. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, sounds really interesting and I know nothing about the game. Really interesting to see how the game will look like.

 

I really recommend this game to people who's looking to buy some games from direct2drive for 5$. Mount&Blade!! Its the one of the best game I have ever played and its a beasty game for 5$.

 

Question. Is mount and blade a game that you have to pay for every month?

To me Dark Athena is still the best value here.

Though Saints Row 2 is pretty good to. Anyone having techinical problems with saints row 2?

 

well of course of dark athena is the best value it is 40 bucks regular price you save 35 bucks.

 

No its not a mmorpg its just rpg there's no online mode. There's a sequel coming out for it tho which has multiplayer. But do not just not get this game just because it has no online modes. Its an amazing game. And there are ton of mods to improve the graphics and the gameplay. Mod that I recommend are
