Yeah, I'll pass on anything D2D. Especially since I have to re-buy a game on Steam because D2D refused to reset my activation limit unless I purchased another copy for $50.

Grr, that is frustrating. What game was that by the way? I only had an incident once like that and they reset it for me.

lol I still can't pay anything on D2D. Haven't been able to for a year. Their support was useless, they just won't take my money.

    Not gonna bother trying again.

they realized how much money steam is bringing in with the sales. 2 late bra plus steam is just a much better service

Eh, I can buy my games on D2D and link them to the Steam interface anyways. I would only lose out on achievements for the most part. I've bought about 6 games from D2D this past year and not had any issue downloading, installing, or playing them. Not to mention buying a Steamworks game on D2D is the same as buying it on Steam. Though you'll likely get it for cheaper based on all the weekend sales and % based discounts D2D gives out like candy.

That being said, their sales so far haven't interested me. Big discounts on games I already have and not enough savings to make me bite on games I want.

I've only bought games from d2d that link directly to steam (steamworks titles) ie Civ 5 and metro 2033

There are a few good ones that'll activate just fine in steam, but yeah their offerings are pretty weak this week.

So much hate for D2D. I use Steam primarily but come on fellas, let's not rag on them. If you don't like it don't use it.

I've had pretty good luck with D2D. When I had a problem purchasing a game a while back, their support was quick to respond and even gave me a 25% off coupon for my trouble.

If they have something I want at a price I'm willing to pay, I have no problem handing them some cash. The only thing that sucks is I have to pay sales tax, which isn't the case with Steam.

I bought a game from D2D once. A couple weeks later I went to reinstall it and found out that it had completely vanished from the library. To their credit, they did give me a full refund, but I thought it was a little weird.

First of all, thanks HTWingNut for the heads up on the sale.

Personally I've had good experiences with D2D.

during these deals, you can buy 10+ PC games for under 50 bucks. If you want your bank account to cry, try buying 10 PS3 / 360 games, lol!
