Good call, this is a much better solution.

Umm, the DX10 link gives me an invalid thread specified error message.

I'm waiting for these notebooks to be released a reviewed! I want to get an Asus C90 but heat issues and battery life are preventing me from doing so. I'm waiting for someone to review it so I can see how long it lasts and how hot it gets. I mean, after all, it does have four fans.

From what I saw in the review, despite the number of it's fans it's a very silent machine.

That's what I figured because they could just have 4 fans that each running at a low RPM so that they'd be quiet but they'd still be cooling everything down. Well that just leaves battery life...

HP dv9500t will have an 8600M GS.

You cannot upgrade graphics cards. You're stuck with what you have, unless you buy a laptop that supports MXM graphics cards (most laptops don't, so the chances that you buy one that does support MXM is very slim).

Its supposed to be pretty standard like 90-120min on "average" (windows, internet ect) but in gaming mode its much much shorter. If you do the full blown gaming mode where it overclocks the cpu and you have the video card doing a 3d gaming session they said the battery can die in like 15 mintues (I think it was slighly sarcastic/over exagerated, probably more like 20-25 min)

However its designed to be pluged in to do gaming.

    No, it's not. It's a re-branded X1700 (or X1600) with no DirectX10 capabilities.
