So I plug my laptop into an external monitor, at 1280x1024 resolution, and set it to single screen with my main disabled. When I disconnect the external monitor, I start getting problems. For example, borderlands starts giving me errors. Before I started plugging into the external monitor, I could play fine on my laptop monitor, when I had the external plugged in it played fine, and now when its not plugged in, it won't work. I needed to change my laptop monitor resolution, from 1680x1050 -> 1280x1024 in order to make it work. So i think there's a problem with Directx 9 with resizing the screen, as i get this error in other games. I tried the dxdiag Direct3d test, and it fails on Direct 3D 9 test. 3dmark06 also crashes because its unable to initialize. So whats going on? Any help is appreciated.
