    DirectX DirectPlay Problem

    hello, im having trouble playing games over direct play. both computers is dx 9.0c running WinXP. I have no idea what winsock version it is if that even matters. I have ran the DxDiag and clicked networks, tested the DirectPlay, HOSTED and JOINED SESSION, it works both ways. When i run games like Commandos 2 and Age of Empire 2 it does not work! I do not see games visible =( both games are the same patch version. I would like to play multiplayer =(

    this thread may belong to networking :confused: but i posted here since it is game related and has more thread views lol, but feel free to move it and/or redirect as much help as possible here!!!

    If both computers are connected to eachother or connected to a network then check in game if there is a LAN tab instead of Internet Gameplay or something like that.
