I have the new model laptop Asus G60VX-RBBX05,
It came with directx 11 and an NVIDIA GTX 260M 1GB .
but I heard nvidia will not support directx 11 until end of this year or next.
plus not all games support directx 11 since it is new
Does directx 11 contain all the the previous directx's?
Like does it have directx 10 in it?
Like when I play a Game will it automatically activate to directx 10, for a game like Flight simulator x.
or do I need to downgrade to directx 10 manually?
sorry I probably dont know what Im saying, Im not that knowledgable with computers I think.

You need not worry about installing other versions as Win 7 comes bundled with DX11 which supports older games as well (DX9/DX10). You are right in the fact your card doesn't support DX11 so will run in DX10 mode.

It's been stated by Microsoft that even though your hardware might not be DirectX 11 compatible, it will benefit from some of the advantages of DirectX 11 (multi-threaded resource handling) which is always a positive, compared to DirectX 10 which isolated all the older hardware.

well, for example, ATI cards support some features that were pulled from DX10 that made the cut for DX11. Those cards don't meet full DX11 spec, but will still be able to take advantage of the features they support.

    I think.

In the end, it doesn't really matter, because DX9 is still ruling the gaming world.

Probably, you didn't download the Modded Inf.
Download it and put it into the installation folder. I think need allow replacement of file when you put it in.
    Then, only install.
