For some reason, the only option for me when I disable it via bios is by leaving it on crappy performance (1.2 ghz) it won't let me say "disable speedstep and keep on maximum performance) any way to fix this? i want my cpu to be always 2.5 ghz.........

I use RMclock to adjust the speedstep profiles. Most of the time I use 'performance on demand' but for gaming I switch it to 'maximal performance. Works great.
