Discuss: Prince of Persia ending

Man... that made me feel REALLY bad. It's weird. It seemed to be a really good ending, but it makes me feel so uneasy. I was hoping for something more "they lived happily ever after", or maybe it would have been better had they pulled off an R&J... Or maybe had they been kissing when ahriman flew past them.

Okay if there was PoP2 I would be satisfied I suppose... but it feels so incomplete

...hard to explain... So many emotions. I'm angry because she left me alone, I'm sad because I don't know (I can assume, but that's not enough) what happens after, and because I pretty much doomed the world. I'm happy because they're together... So confusing!!

Anyways... What's your opinion?

 

Well, I remember Ubisoft mentioning a trilogy....

 

i thought the game wud end with elika dying and all... but when the prince decided to free arhiman to save her... it didnt feel like something i wud do, cos elika did die to save the world but then the prince selfishly chose to reject elikas sacrifice......

i did jusitfy the ending cos, why shud elika have to die for some dumbass god ormazd who cant be arsed to save his own land, shudnt he also have a role in balancing the world. through out the game it felt like elika was being held in this temple place against her wishes , "trapped as much as arhiman " so i can see why the prince who isnt to impressed with the gods chose elika over arihmans prisonment......

 

the ending felt fairly abrupt. Don't get me wrong it does fit into the character of the new prince. But the setup seemed cheap and rushed. Part of me feels like its a easy way out to establish a sequel.

 

I also had mixed feelings about the ending...really hoping they make up for it in the second installment.

Also, since we are discussing endings....should we put spoiler alerts in the subject heading?

The fact that there is a sequel answers my question.. I mean how can you end a game like That!!!!!!!!!

Where the bad guy wins..... I am wondering what are the thoughts going in Elika's head when she was brought ot life again....

MAybe he was expecting an ending that he tought will happen....

I actually didn't expect that kind of ending myself...

 

I'll just wait for the movie, thanks. Hollywood will screw it up so much the game spoiler here won't matter.
