Not surprising, and this might actually work out if Disney licenses LA IPs to other developers, which is what it sounds they intend to do.

Big deal. LucasArts hasn't put out a meaningful game for years.

The last great game I remember from LucasArts was Jedi Knight 2. Jedi Academy was good but not great. Force Unleashed was way over hyped.

No, but they have good IP to license (which they still can).

I liked X-Wing and Tie-Fighter. Can't say I have played played another Lucas Arts game after those two!

Yeah, well, wasn't too excited about 1313, either.

I'm pretty sure X-Wing was the first game I bought, hard to remember that far back though.

I still remember one of the first missions though. It was later referenced in a book. Great times.

I didn't really see enough about 1313 to really start caring about it.

Thats true, the lack of details and content did work on my imagination quite a bit though :D

Probably one of the most entertaining game devs in my book -

Dark Forces 1 and 2 (I think dark forces 1 was one of the first pc games I played along doom 1 and 2)
    X-wing, Tiefighter
    Podracing on PC
Rebel squadron on game cube (lol)
Jedi knight: jedi outcast and jedi academy (outcast was just incredible, one of the best games i've played, academy very good as well). Both had some of the best multiplayer sword fights...
Knights of the Old republic 1 and 2
    Empire at war
Battlefront 1 and 2 (and continue to cry about battlefront 3)

probably missing some more... the modding scene for star wars games were some of the best too.

    Sad to see them go.

Battle front was the very first pc game I ever played...I paid 20$ for battle front 2 to relive my child hood from my ps2...I never though of a battlefront 3, but now that it's not happening I am sad.

man that sort of sucks, but i think disney will make better games, lucas hasn't put anything good out for years. my favorite star wars games were jango fett bounty hunter, republic commando, kotor 1 and 2, and battlefront. it would be cool to see a boba fett game though, as long as it was fps and on the pc.

I wouldn't be so sure. Force Unleashed looked awesome early on in its development, and it ended up being pretty meh. Also, this doesn't mean that it will never get released. Sleeping Dogs was cancelled (as True Crime) and ended up being picked up by another developer and publisher.
