I have a P-7811 FX with the 512 mb 9800m gts. When playing Starcraft 2 for a few minutes my display turns off (sound is still there). I'm fairly sure it's an overheating problem, and it's probably driver related. What drivers should I get to stop this?

Some gamers on NBR have reported having problems with 258.96, I personally think 197.45 do a really nice job and are stable.

Which drivers are you having problems with? Also word is Nvidia is on the verge on releasing a new set of drivers this month.

Well I managed to install the 197.16, and at first I thought it was fine, but now I'm having problems again. For one, my screen has a really noticeable yellow tint to it, and it (presumably overheated) crashed again in Starcraft 2.

Well I'm idling at 54 degrees. I don't know if this is normal or not. I've had absolutely no problems until I reinstalled windows yesterday and installed new drivers.

Well I've tried both 258.96 and 197.16 and both of them give me crashes while gaming and a really odd yellow tint whenever I open iTunes.

use the 195.62 drivers.. they've been the most stable for me and idle GPU temps have been 50-52C which is way lower compared to 197.16...

That would seem to point to something other than the drivers, as the GPU is outputting the same signal to an external screen that it would input to the internal one. Perhaps something wrong with your screen or its connection, that only shows up when certain patterns/colors are displayed?

Well, my GPU idles at 56 degrees. Is that unusual?
