This game is turning out to actually be pretty good. About halfway through it and it continues to surprise me.

This is diffenetly an RPG "purist" game though...............no hand-holding ala FO3 or ME.

Just getting to level 12 is tough, but by then your start to get the feel of the game and seems to get a little easier, make sure and save often, because you will die often !

One other note, this game was made using the Gamebryo engine, ( Think Oblivion ), but is twice the looker Oblivion is. I'm playing the original Divinity 2, I found for $19.00, though there is a newer version w/expasion and up-dated graphics called "Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga".

    Bugs?................haven't run across anything game-breaking !

    Anyways..............my 2 cents !

I'm watching some gameplay vids on it. It seems to play like a mix of Drakan and WoW. Gamebryo has nice graphics and works well on lower-end systems too. The game is sounding really appealing to me now that you bring it up. I just don't know if it's worth the $40 it cost on Steam (for the complete/updated version).

That's why you go here and pay $12.90 for the original version, minus the expansion, the one I bought. Been checking Larians forums and supposedly they're working on a downladable up-date for the graphics for the original version. Personally, there's nothing wrong with the graphics, the way they are !

If the version they are selling using the Gamebryo engine then the graphics will be legit by my standards. But are you sure that site is good? It looks kinda sketchy. Though if that's where you got it from then it suppose it must be okay. :)

The game looks definitely nice... Somehow had skipped my notice. Am checking it out right now, although I think I would like to get my hands on the expansion too. Leaving the story hanging like that, when it is out already, is not something I can do...

I've heard quite a lot of negative reviews of it saying it's not up to expectations. It is however getting my attention since I am actually looking for an RPG to play and it looks kinda okay from the screenshots and videos. Probably the negative reviews were from people who expected too much or compared it to other RPGs like Dragon Age :x

Is there any difference between Divinity 2: Ego Draconis and Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga?

Dragon Knight Saga is the latest rendition. It contains a remastered version of Eco Draconis and the latest expansion/installment Flames of Vengeance. That's what I deduced from reading the game description on Steam. Of course, I find it odd that Steam has Dragon Knight Saga priced cheaper than Eco Draconis when Eco Draconis is supposedly the outdated version.

GoGamer.com is a legit site, actually bought my copy from Amazon for $19.99, now selling for 14.99 !

Amazon.com: Divinity II: Ego Draconis: Pc: Video Games

Don't know why you can't purchase The Flames of Vengeance expansion on its own. Maybe it was only available to Euro. customers only, but it seems Larian Fixed whatever problems the origianl had, up-dated graphics, added expansion and re-packaged it under, "Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga "!

Personally I think they need to do what CDProjetk did with "The Witcher", which was , if you bought the original game, you were able to download "The Enhanced " version of the game, that came out later.................for free !

Divinity 2 is somewhat like DA minus the hand holding !

Oh it's like Dragon Age? No thanks then. That game was a big snorefest and bigger waste of money. But that's off-topic. How is it like DA?

The game is nothing like DA:O. Single character vs. party; much more open world; not nearly as linear; combat is much different and more difficult. I actually liked DA:O more, but I'm an BG player from way back. However, I felt DD was a nice change of pace and a great game.

Interesting game. Sometimes it was with some difficulty. Not very entertaining storyline, good graphics, lots of possibilities for character development, no class restrictions, you may want to play imo
