    Hi,

Ive finally come to a decision to buy either a ROCK Pegasus 665 or a DELL Inspiron 9400. I just wanted some advice on which one chould I choose, here are teh specs for both:

    £1,185.75

If I was to buy the Pegasus would I be able to play all the latest games with the NVIDI 7600? I really want to play all the latest games on medium to max settings. I especially want to play WOW, Oblivion and Battlefield 2 will this be possible on the 7600? I know it will be on the 7900.

Does anyone have any screenshots of these games running with on a NVIDI 7600 and on the NVIDI 7900?

So would you sacrafice good graphics for 3 years warranty, better hard drive, 30 day pixel check and all the extras?

    Thanks in advance,

Oblivion won't run nicely on the 7600 at max settings, so if that is really important to you, then get the Dell.
To be frank, you can always purchase extra warranty from Dell in the future, the hard drive is easily upgradable (and a slower HD will mostly effect loading times, not game play), and the pixel check is useless because if your machine does have dead pixels, just contact Dell and they should fix it for you. So I would go for the Dell if portability wasn't important.

    Thanks,
I didnt know thet dell offered extensions to warranties, its very good to hear that I could extend the warranty in the future. Does anyone have any screen shots of both graphic cards in action?

    Thanks

You're comparing two completely different systems--one is a mid-range gamer while the other is a powerful desktop replacement. Quality is going to be higher with the Pegasus, but the Dell will give you more raw power.

You need to decide between sizes and how important gaming prowess is to you.

Regarding screenshots--that wouldn't show you how either cards work, since they would only be single-frame captures. The go 7900 GS is quite a bit more powerful than the go 7600. But the go 7600 is no slouch.

yeah im getting the dell. I know i comparing two different systems I want to know if people would rather have the more powerful system or the system taht comes with the extra warrant and all teh little extras. But after finding out I could extend the Dell warranty in the future I am now going for the Dell.

Also I should of explained clearer about the screenshots and asked for the framerates for the game too whilst being played at the settings of the screenshots. I would rather see how the game looked and framerates then knowing how many 3d marks it can achieve.

    thanks

If the games in-game graphics settings are set to exactly same in both machines and both cards use same 3D-settings and screensize/resolution, the screenshots should basically look the same. The difference is that the more powerful card then has better FPS. This means you can enable more in-game graphics candy or rise the screen resolution with the more powerful card, without too much fps hit and make the game look better than with the less powerful card. But everything depends on the game. If the game is old enough, you can enable all candies with both cards, making the game look exactly the same with both cards and have great fps. The newer the game the more you have to give up candies with the less powerful card to have playable fps... ok, hope I explained it well enough. :)
