If you have Windows 8, how good is it with game compatibility? What titles didn't work? Or do you dual boot to Win 7 for games?

Windows 8 64bit here. No problems at all.
If the game runs on Vista/7, then it will most definitely run on 8 without any issues.
If the game has problems on Vista/7, then it will most definitely have the same problems running on 8 as well.

I have been playing a whole bunch of old games lately, all the problems I encountered were solved by doing some Googling.
Is there a game in particular you are interested in knowing?

I don't have Win 8 but I bought an extra copy of Win 7 Pro for $100 as a reserve OS for my next PC desktop buiild. But I noticed Win 7 Pro is not good with memory management; when I'm about 13.5 gb memory load funny things start to happen, like not being able to switch between Chrome tabs and web pages not popping up. Might be a problem with Chrome, though.

I heard that Win 8 was better with memory management, and its a faster OS?

Not faster and not really better with memory. It definitely has a smaller disk space footprint though. I'd say it's an issue with Chrome. What the heck are you doing to have 13.5GB memory load? That's a LOT of RAM to be consumed if it's solely a browser.

Your Chrome problems are most likely just Chrome problems rather than Windows 7 memory management issues.

I'm running off a pretty fast SATA3 SSD as my OS drive, so I don't really have any noticeable performance issues with Windows 8. This is something you might wanna consider if you want to see an immediate performance upgrade. Once you go SSD, you can't go back.

And I have also heard that Windows 8's got a better memory usage management, I probably read it off here:
Comparison Between Windows 7 and Windows 8 Memory Management System - Tweaking with Vishal

As for Windows 8 vs 7 gaming performance, there isn't really any (a good driver matters more than the OS):
Windows 8 Versus Windows 7: Game Performance, Benchmarked : Does Windows 8 Let You Play Just Like Windows 7?

If you don't mind the Metro interface and the missing Start menu (and other Windows 8 annoyances), then yes, I do recommend upgrading to Windows 8.
But then again, I got my copy for $15 (bought two copies)... if I were you, I'd probably stay with 7 and wait for 9 - just because there isn't that much incentive to upgrade when it comes to gaming performance.

I can have up to 40+ Chrome tabs open and I have 16 GB ddr3 1600. Sometimes I think I need an OS reformat but that a GIGANTIC HASSLE with reloading many Game Saves.

This is my answer as well. I have run into identical problems playing older games on Windows 7 and Windows 8, while newer stuff has all run as well as a given system can run it.

Yep, same as above, have run into zero Windows 8 issues gameplay wise, and I've tried the majority of my catalog, both new and old. It's a really good OS, has been more stable over all than 7. I hate it gets all the flack it does from the silly Metro interface.

For some reason I've only had problems with games that have Games for Windows - LIVE. Kinda weird, maybe it was just me... Everything else ran flawlessly.

No problems for me on Windows 8, except some old games that wouldn't also work on Windows 7.

And yes, the Windows 8 is much faster, even if the usability is horrible.
