I have 2 laptops, a HP Pavilion dv6000t series and a Inspiron 1501, I want to buy sims 2 and all the expansions but I don't know if my laptops meet the requirements.
Hp Pavilion:
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) M 440 (1.86 GHz/1MB L2 Cache)
Memory: 2MB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm)
Graphics Card: Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 - Celeron
Hard Drive: 80GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
Inspiron:
Processor: Mobile AMD Sempron 3500+ (1.8GHz/512KB)
Memory: 512MB DDR2 SDRAM 533MHZ, 1 DIMM
Video Card: ATI RADEON® Xpress1150 256MB HyperMemory (Integrated)
Hard Drives: Size: 60GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
Could they run sims 2?

Yeah. The minimum system requirements for Sims 2 is a 32 MB DirectX 9.0-compatible video card, which both the GMA 950 and Radeon X1150 meet. They're not the best video cards ever, but Sims 2 also isn't the most demanding game ever.

thanks so much

Actually sims 2 can be quite demanding if you want the best graphics. I've had some pretty bad FPS on maximum settings on a 512mb desktop 7600GT, but that's at max.
I agree with the other guy though. It should run decent on both, most likely minimum settings for both.
One last thing that you should know is that the intel GMA 950 has been known to have missing textures and other errors on that game. -
I believe The Sims Stories has less demanding system requirements... I'm not sure why seeing how it's the same game as the sims 2 repackaged. Maybe it's been optimized or more scalable. It has a few new shortcut features which are supposed to be laptop friendly when you don't have a mouse.
Do either of my laptops fit Sims 2?
