Hi, the acer aspire 6935 has a 16" monitor with a resolution of 16:9, thus 1365x768... Do games support this resolution or am I bound to set it to something different which will turn the graphics to crap?
(If there's stretching then please say so)
    Thank you :)

you can turn off streching in nvidia control panel.

EDIT: go to 'change flat panel scaling' and choose 'use nvidia scaling with fixed aspect ratio', but you just have to deal with black bars.

Some games will support the 1366x768 resolution - don't despair!

'some' games... doesn't sound that good :p
So... say I've got black bars, then the game will probably use 1024*768?

Pffft... might just go with a 1400x900, will give less issues...
I'm an oldskool gamer so I doubt those older games support 1366x768 :s

How old do you mean by "older?" Some won't even support widescreen resolutions at all!

70% of my gamelist is 2006-2007 and later.
The other 30% are games 2003 and up.

I don't really know what to do :s I don't want to be stuck with a laptop that I hate looking at... Physically speaking, the 16" screen is lower than a 17" and if I get black bars on that 16" then it's even more shrunken down :O

More than likely not. Many are just optimized for 1440x900 resolution and stuff. I noticed with certain games (such as warcraft 3), you can edit the resolution to your liking. For instance:

The game didn't have a 1440x900 mode listed, so I googled it and went into the registry, and set the resolution to 1440x900. Looked beautiful.
