I just started playing gta 3 on my compaq c502us with integrated GMA950, and it runs really well, except for the fact that every 2 minutes the screen goes black for a second and i can hear noises then comes back. I looked around for answers to this on google, and found that other people where having this problem with vista and the 945g and gma950's. so apparently i have to download one of these to fix it but im not sure which one i should get because they say different bit sizes.

It depends on what procesoe you have. If you have a Core Duo, then it is 32-bit, and if you have a Core 2 Duo, then you have a 64-bit processor. The 32-bit fix will work on either processor.

i know i dont have a core 2 duo so does this meen my laptop has a core duo because i dont see it say core duo anywhere. here's the link to my laptop. http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=343924&pfp=hpf1

It's a Celeron M processor, so no, you do not have 64-bit.

If your running vista in 32 bit (not 64 bit) then use the 32 bit fix.
I believe you only use the 64 bit fix if your running vista in 64 bit. -
Get the 32bit patch.

thanks guys patch worked perfect.
