I just started playing gta 3 on my compaq c502us with integrated GMA950, and it runs really well, except for the fact that every 2 minutes the screen goes black for a second and i can hear noises then comes back. I looked around for answers to this on google, and found that other people where having this problem with vista and the 945g and gma950's. so apparently i have to download one of these to fix it but im not sure which one i should get because they say different bit sizes.

    This one : http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/INTEL/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-32bit-Driver-15101187.shtml

    or this one: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/INTEL/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-64bit-Driver-151641187.shtml

Here's the forum about what is happeneing to me when i play just like other people: http://www.itwriting.com/blog/?p=110

It depends on what procesoe you have. If you have a Core Duo, then it is 32-bit, and if you have a Core 2 Duo, then you have a 64-bit processor. The 32-bit fix will work on either processor.

It's a Celeron M processor, so no, you do not have 64-bit.

If your running vista in 32 bit (not 64 bit) then use the 32 bit fix.

I believe you only use the 64 bit fix if your running vista in 64 bit.

That's right. The only reason you would install the 64-bit patch would be if you were running a 64-bit operating system.
