I have sli 480m gtx and I want to upgrade to dual 580gtxm. Xoticpc does not do that anymore on my x7200. Do you know a website that can do so?

I'm not positive, but for some resellers it seems like Nvidia sucked up all the 580Ms to flash them to 675Ms. So, you'd be looking for a pair of 675Ms in name. As for upgrading, I think Mythlogic does quite a bit of that--for a fee of course.

Ok another question. Is it advisable to get the 580gtxm sli or wait for the 680mgtx?

Nobody knows anything about the 680M's.

It makes sense to wait tho because 580M's aren't that strong... (compared to the 7970M or in theory to the 680M)

Just wait for the next generation. The 580m is only a tiny bit more powerful than the 485m. Its really not worth it if Nvidia comes out with a new mobile gpu in the next few months. If the new Nvidia card is as powerful as the radeon 7970m then its not worth the 580m upgrade as one of those is just as good as 2 580ms in sli.

To be fair, he has 480M GTX's not 485M GTX's. So he would see a nice bump to 580M's. For the x7200, you can only upgrade to whatever they offered. I think the cards have a different vBIOS than all other Clevos. The Sager & Clevo subforum has tons of info.

Edit: oops didn't notice it was already in the subforum. Disregard.

Is the rumored 680 mgtx compatible with the x7200?
Also what's the fps for max setting with max res for battlefield 3, skyrim and crysis 1 for 580mgtx sli?

s2odin already answered that on the first page. No one knows anything about the 680M as yet.

oops, I guess I misread that. Still, I think It would be wise to wait till Nvidia's new release before deciding on an upgrade. If nothing else the 580m price will drop.

The 7970m will only work for you if you have the 60hz lcd. (or so I have been told.) But yeah, that would be a crazy powerful setup. :D

Just go into windows 7 advanced graphics options and see if the lcd will go past 60hz. Also, most of the glossy LCDs are 60hz, most of the matte LCDs are 120hz. (at least in the past year anyway)

*edit* Yes, that is the screen.

560 TI is slightly faster than one 580M.
