I currently have an xbox 360. I kind of hate having two separate systems since most good games carry over to PC. I find myself debating whether to keep the 360 or convert to PC only. I really like the unlimited lifespan PC games tend to have. Hopefully the next xbox will be Backwards Compatible, but I dont know.

PC only, in my case. Start a poll...
-
Consoles.
As most of the games are avalible on PC are also on console(s). But the consoles have a alot more exclusive games. I'm personally playing with PS3 and PSP as these have a godly game librarys. -
usapatriot Notebook Nobel Laureate
Only on the PC.
-
PC Only.
I use keyboard and mouse for FPS, MMO etc, and 360 Controller for racing, adventure, TPS. -
Both for me. I play on my consoles at home except for handheld ones. I play on my laptop when on the go.
-
I play both. Mostly new games on consoles though, simply because PC ports often suck so badly and run poorly regardless of system specs.
I play mostly classic games on PC. -
Both. I use my PC to satisfy my MMO addiction and some FPS and RPGs. I use my PS3 to play online multiplayer shooters (using a FragFX controller of course) and some RPGs. I rarely play my Wii anymore.
-
I use my PS3 mostly, and my PC a fair bit, as some games are clearly better on PC such as RTSs and the like.

Tinderbox (UK) BAKED BEAN KING
PC and console xbox 360.

PC and PS2 (PS2 still has the best JRPG library IMO)
-
I love playing on my xbox 360 (Oblivion GOTY Version
/CoD4) I can't play games on my laptop, I am getting a new one soon.
-
i use my 360 for racing and sports games but i play my fps games on pc.
-
Xbox 360 and PC
-
Pc n anything
prefer Pc though -
Console mostly, PC gaming once in a blue moon. In general, I find PC gaming pretty silly...paying so much money just to be able to play the same game as consoles in a higher resolution is just dumb to me. That's why I just got a 360 and a mid-range GPU in my PC.
-
Have no use for console games, the low level graphics and dumbed down stories irritate me. I have two consoles left a PS2 and Wii, PS2 I bought for Shadow of The Colossus, the greatest and probably the last console game worth buying, well depends on how Shadow of The Colossus 2 does I guess. $10 to $20 more per game also adds up pretty fast. Would never get a 360, subpar graphics, I get the best of the 360 games ported to PC anyway as well PC exclusives. PS3 I would think about if Shadow of The Colossus 2 is amazing. The Wii I can barely find a game that interests me to play on it, both the Wii and PS2 are currently collecting dust under the TV.
-
I do a combo. I use my PC for games that are truly worth playing on my pc. And also ALL of my MMMOs are PC only. FPS is 360. PC is also used if a game's got good modding capabiltieslike the sims 3 or oblivion. Games like that where it's pretty obvious people are going to do some great mods i pick pc so i can use them.
I dream of a world where modded content can happen on the consoles. That'd be a great day. My dream will most likely not happen. -
PC=75%
Wii=10%
360=15%
PC~ for performance & graphics intensive gaming, convenience
Wii~ Wii Fit & EA Active Sports, games with the kids
360~ for truly epic games that require a couch to lounge on -
I only play (and own) on PC, I don't have the money to buy a console and a TV, tried before with a 360 and it looked bad on my current TV.
-
I usually just play RTS games and a handful of other games on my laptop (Like TF2) but for most games I stick to my 360. I also have a Wii but A hardly ever play it.
Also there are a few older (Or pretty old) consoles that I still play with like my NES. -

I Haven't overclocked it yet (Maybe sometime in the future) and I don't have Farcry 2 or GTA but I do have Fallout 3 for my 360 that I can use. to test the difference between the 2. (Although I am able to play very high on fallout 3)
-
Unless I'm visiting a friend's house who has a console, PC only. Playing mostly strategy games, it just makes sense - most of the good strategy games are PC-only. I play games from other genres as well, of course, but there's plenty of those available for PC, too - although I've become less trusting of console ports recently as their quality seems to be lacking more often than in PC-native games.
Consoles would also require me to buy a television/projector or go with the awkward TV tuner solution, and wouldn't have the mobility that a laptop does. And it wasn't like I wasn't going to get a PC that could play games given my existing collection, so overall a console would have had higher cost even if I had reduced the quality of my laptop a bit. So I'm pretty PC centric. -
All I play is Xbox 360 and the DS. For now. lol
-
I only game on my Mac
-
Pc only gamer here..had a psp but once i got my notebook the psp got shipped of to mum.....perfect for her actually......
-
PC and consoles for me...
PC (laptop) is for gaming on the go and nostalgia (all those great 90's PC games and emulators)...
PS2 (Buzz!, Karaoke Revolution, Guitar Hero, Ratchet and Clank) and 360 for when people are over...(and I think the 360 looks amazing at 92"...Gears of War 2 and Ace Combat 6 drop people's jaws on the projector)...
And a PSP for casual on-the-go gaming...I have quite a few UMDs, but mostly play Puzzle Quest and the Wipeout games...Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
I have an Xbox 360, a Psp and a DS. I no longer play any of these systems since the laptop can play all of them really apart from the Psp. GTA IV runs better and quieter on my laptop than it does on my console and I can play it where ever I want to whether it be in a different room, a different table or in a different region.
I loathe being confined to a desk for gaming, gaming is about freedom to me. -
There are too many console-only games that I love for me to stick to pc gaming exclusively, although I opt for the pc versions if they are available, with the exception of GTA IV (everyone knows what a poorly optimized pos the pc version is). Lately all I've been using my pc for, as far as games go, is Fallout 3 and emulation.
-
PC only via projector.
-
PC only in the last couple of years. I might consider getting a console for the console exclusive (which mostly mean jRPG's for me), but I would need to buy a HD TV... so its too expensive at the moment.
-
We have everything at home so I just pick up whatever I feel like >.>
My brother's a pretty big gamer(although I wouldn't say hardcore, he just has lots of them) so yeah, we have quite a few. -
except i might be getting a ps3 soon which might result in me only playing console games, but with the exception of the game of tf2/css with friends here and there -
PC only...can't give up the mouse and kb. If I want to play a console game (PS2, PS3, 360, GC, Wii, PSP, DS) then I hang out with my buddy (yes, he currently has ALL those at his place). If he wants to play PC games then I bring my laptop.
-
PC mostly, PS3 occasionally mostly when when a good exclusive comes out uncharted, infamous, god of war, killzone etc.
-
I play WoW, so its pretty much PC, and it seems to be the only game I have time for anymore :-/
I have a 360 and get a new game now and then, but they end up gathering dust. -
I have both PC and PS3... the games I like are almost always better on the PC, but games like NHL2009 are better for PS3.
Consoles are for "quick mindless gaming" and PCs are for long-term games.
(there is some cross-over both directions)
Note, this has nothing to do with hardware... this is a marketing thing. -
PC gamers are usually either MMORPG or FPS/RTS players, everything else (RPG, Fighting, Racing, Puzzle, Action, Adventure, Sport etc) are mainly for console gamers.
-
Both. Have the XPS 2 as well as an Xbox (Classic). Though I'm not used to using the WASD for movement. That's why I use a gamepad with all of the games I have. (Xpadder + Logitech Cordless)
I may be crazy but I also plan on using a gamepad on future FPS games as well. Using keys to move your character around to me, is just plain wrong. -
PC, when I do game, as consoles are more expensive stuff to lug around on my travels.
Plus, I don't actually own a TV! -
PC only in my case as well.
-
PC and Nintendo Wii in my case.
-
I used to play 360 like crazy, but i got a half decent laptop and i just cant come of it (standard task and gaming wise)
-
I had a 360 like 2 years ago, then sold it.
-
Been PC only for about 2-3 years now.
-
yeah.. im a pc only gamer too.. i have a ps2 for guitar hero.. but thats about it..
im mostly a FPS/RTS player and a few RPGS..
but like some.. the KB + Mouse combo cant be beat - to me
oh and the DS + Supercard combo cant be beat either.. -
PC + First Generation Xbox
I use my Xbox pretty much solely for Halo and Halo 2. I'm not sure why, but I like Halo on the console much better. -
I am, and always have been, a PC gamer. I grew up on Quake, Unreal Tournament, and the original Half-Life. Not much has changed, except now it's Quake 4, Unreal Tournament 3, and Half-Life 2.
I do own an Xbox 360, though it doesn't get a whole lot of use. I mainly use it for stuff that my computer can't play smoothly, like GTA IV, or games that don't exist on PC, like Halo 3.
Do you only play PC games or do you use the consoles?
