    which one's better? like gameplay wise? and which one has a more solid bigger fan base?

    source seems to be much better optimized. Not to mention, larger playing community.

    I like DoD 1.3 better than Source. There are a couple more classes and weapons you get to use. There were a few things I disliked such as how there is no Garand butt in Source and no pistol for some of the classes. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of the Source versions of CS and DoD because it seemed too easy with no recoil.

    The community in DoD Source is definitely bigger and more popular now since going through a major update a couple of months ago that made the game much better.
