So i just put Dawn of War II on my computer thinking it can crank it up to high graphics since my computer far surpasses the minimum req. and meets the recommended.

So to make a long story short it lagged like crap, so i cranked down the resolution down a notch and put all the graphics on low... only then was i able to play it without lag...
So what about my computer is bogging it down so much? i mean i think thats a pretty decent GPU so the processor is the only thing i can think of :(

I kinda wanna play SCII when it comes out but if i can barley even play DoWII i dont think i can play that... so ya

    Two things:

    1) I have nearly the same specs (a 128MB Video Card :D) and I played the beta on low settings, and it was crappy looking but very playable. Probably just like you, but most importantly...

    2) I've heard a lot of negativity about the whole graphics engine with that game. Apparently it's slow on many computers it shouldn't be slow on, and I sincerely doubt your CPU is bogging it down that much, although I could be wrong. RTS (even faux ones) are CPU intensive.

Lastly, I wouldn't worry about SCII. I think you'll be able to play it, although it will be most likely low settings. Blizzard is a much more talented developer, IMO, than Relic has been, and their games run well on a lot of PCs, WoW can look pretty decent, or basic, all depending on the PC...SCII will be the same way.
