    Interresting!

Best case scenario => There is an low profile pci-e card inside so we can install our own (full heigh with some mods).

Worst case scenario => custom build gt 440

GT 440, meh. They could do much better. Hopefully it's not a proprietary card or slot.

that was what I thought, its going to offer the gaming capabilities of a mid range gpu, pretty meh, they could have put a gtx 460 in there to sweeten the deal

Whatever happened to the external GPU tech AMD was working on.

Damn!, if i could get a slimmer notebook with a easy to use external GPU solution that gives full bandwidth i would so replace my Clevo P170HM.
(DIY ViDock doesent count, but its still awesome.)

Well Light peek would be a great contendor for this kind of techonology, think a gpu in a box that plugs into usb, just make sure you have a decent CPU and ram I suppose. thunder bolt is the official name now check it out at this link Thunderbolt (interface) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia you could even have an on board GPU that could sli/xfire with the card, that would be pretty cool.

My bad im half asleep here at work, I could see this the future for laptops or even tablets, you'll have your base tablet and depending on what you want to do with it you can get : a keyboard mount to take and type on, a gaming base with top end GPU, a turn table base for when your djing on the go. Portability mixed with convience, unless you wanna game on the go then your stuck lugging a base around. I know lenovo is doing something similar with their think pads.
