    Does 196.34 driver support ?

    hi, i downloaded 196.34 drivers, in manual its mentioned its support 9600gt gpu, but when i run, its say drivers are not compatible with current hardware and exit.
    I am doing something wrong and my current drivers are 195.62 windows 7 ultimate 32bit.

    I suppose you downloaded the mobile driver and not the desktop one right!

    There normally available from laptopvideo2go, but not at the moment , but you can download the desktop driver and the modded mobile inf file from the same link.

    Have your pick...not just the 196.34's. That driver BTW, as all 196.xx series has been giving many people BSOD's on install. But anyway, click on the specific driver thread you want, and the modded .inf download for that driver is at the top of the page.

    You will have to install using the "have disk method" as clicking on the setup.exe will not work, and you will have to put the .inf file in the right directory.

    Well, i copied and pasted nv_disp file to nvida setup folder and overwritten old nv_disp, then ran setup.exe, it detected hardware, started installing drivers, after finishing, msg display system has not been modify, run program later again to installation,.


    Edit: i will restart system, run setup.exe again.

    You need to go into device manager and update the display driver manualy with the "have disk method" , read post 11

    well its installed drivers, now where can i check that its installed 196.34 driver. sorry for novice questions. thanking you guys for helping me out.

    i checked in rivatuner its showing old drivers 195.62....
