If I run league of legends on max, wouldn't having a 970M make the computer run cooler overall? And wouldn't 970M run cooler when browsing and doing other things video related? Or would having a more powerful GPU increase the temps.

A faster/higher TDP CPU wouldn't necessarily make it run cooler, quite the contrary, usually. Now the fact that Maxwell 2.0 is more efficient that Maxwell 1.0 might make it a bit cooler, and if you limit the FPS to 60 you may end up with an overall cooler system. But the 970m is about 60-80% faster (or more in some circumstances) than the 860m in games at 1080p, so they're in different leagues. If you're having high temp issues with an 860m though, something isn't right in your laptop because it already runs reasonably cool (i.e. < 75C) with even the most demanding games. It's hard to compare apples to apples unless you have an 860m and 970m in the same laptop with same cooling system.

Is it worth getting waiting for a 970M system, or should I go for a 860M chip, in that case? I will be playing league of legends, and watching HD movies.

LOL doesn't need that mutch GPU power, a 860 will be able to run it just fine. HD movies run fine on Intel HD so no worries about that. The only reason to get a GTX970 wiould be to play more demandng games like Battlefield 4 or to be sure you can run a game in the future. For LOL its not needed so if you only play that and are not planning to play more demanding games go with the 860.

LOL benchmarks... its like seeing equal signs: GTX780=ANY dedicated gpu from the past 2 years over 50 euro's...

Ps: All the other LOL like games sutch as DOTA and the new blizz game are the same and hardy require gpu power

What is the best quality laptop with the best cooling system on the market right now? With 860M. Or should I wait until a new string of laptops come out, supposedly at the end of this month.

Why would you want to get something with a 860M when the 970M is 3x better and only slightly more? I have a 970M and it's rock cold for me.. In BF4 maybe, it exceeds 60C but in World of Tanks, planetside, I'm always under 60C..

Damn do these new cards realy run that cool? me. I promised myself now to buy a new laptop for the next 2 years (bought this one in summer '13) but it keeps getting harder. It's just so hard to justify when I already spend €2000+.

Yes it does run very cool. But again, depends on the laptop. Like in my Sager NP8651/Clevo P650SE my 970m has dual fan cooling and it rarely exceeds 55C, and fans don't run hard at all. It is at least twice the TDP of the 860m though, so if you threw the cooling system for the 860m on the 970m you would be looking at a hot GPU.

Cooling won't be much of a factor unless you throw demanding workload "game whatever" on them, optimus kicks in and let intel handle other thing most of the time.

Just a wild guess, I have a feeling if you limit the 970m to 860m performance.

My temps with 970M are worse then yours probably because I only have 2 fans and the main problem for me is that my CPU is a 3940XM, which is running at 4.0GHz and 80C+ and the heat is leaking into the chasis and causing GPU to heat up a bit more.. Otherwise, my temps would be similar to HT's..
