I know this question has probably been answered multiple times before, but my google search only turned up results pertaining to dx11.

DX9 and DX11 Only. One would assume that the DX10 features would be included in the DX11 which covers everything. But you can just disable the DX11 features in the video settings.
-
They do DX9 because it is on consoles and they had to write support for old hardware anyway. Then DX11 includes all the DX10 stuff, it is the setting for the more modern computers.

Thanks for the answers guys, but I should have specified that I will be running it on a 1gb 4650, a 10.1 card. It ran the 2nd one almost maxed out flawlessly. But I'm guessing from what you guys tell me that I will have to run it in dx 9? Boo.

DX10 never brought any features worthy of desire to the table anyway.
Your main concern should be how graphically intensive Farcry 3 is for the 4650M, even in DX9. You definitely won't come anywhere close to maxing this one out. -
Far Cry 3 is quite GPU intensive, don't expect to crank up the settings higher than low.

Divine Divinity 2 ran great on my HD 4650 however.....sorry yes Far Cry 3
Does Far Cry 3 support directx 10 or 10.1?
